Michelle Wasik - performing artist, movement
educator, dancer and mime. Michelle is a master at blending artistic
expressions. She explores the gifts of nature to inspire and guide
her creative endeavors. She dances through life’s unexpected
choreography and dives into various themes and body stories to
bring forth the treasures from within. A few of her original pieces
include: Journey to the Heart of the Womb, Paths
of Desire, and her audio CD The Legend of Iridescence.
Michelle received a Masters Degree in Expressive
Arts Therapy from the International University of Professional
Studies in Solana Beach, CA. She is a graduate of the Tamalpa
Insitute for movement based expressive arts in Kentfield, CA and
The American Musical and Dramatic Academy for total training in
theater in New York City. She has received certification in Motional
Processing from Dr. Alice Rutkowski and is also recognized by
The International Somatic Movement and Therapy Association as
a registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist.
Michelle has a rich and diverse history
in the performing arts. She has toured in numerous national musical
theater productions, choreographed countless dance and theater
productions locally, and has over 20 years experience as a dance
and creative movement instructor. Michelle also celebrates 12
years as a professional mime. She blooms as the Sunflower Mime,
as well as other unique characters. Michelle maintains a private
studio in Reading, PA for students to express and explore their
creativity. She travels to various locations conducting programs
that link life experiences to artistic expressions.
Michelle continues to perform, teach and
study with other creative professionals on a regular basis. Her
dedication to artistic growth and development is tireless. Michelle
enjoys sharing her knowledge with children and adults of all ages,
and is committed to providing access to creative expression for
all who seek it.
